If you're tired of the same old Fall Farm Festivals and/or you just can't wait until Summer to visit a farm, then you're in luck. Now, is the perfect time to attend a Maple Sugaring Tour at Happy Day Farm in Manalapan, New Jersey. In fact, if you wait too long, the opportunity will pass you by as tours are only running through this weekend.
Learn how the sap from maple trees becomes the syrup we put on our pancakes on this exciting and educational tour. You'll visit a maple tree grove and find out how they get the sap out of the trees. Obviously, that part of the tour is outside and involves walking on rough terrain so you'll want to dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
You'll also visit Olivia's cozy Sugar Shack and learn how that sap gets turned into maple syrup. You'll even get to taste a spoonful of fresh delicious maple syrup. If just a taste isn't enough, short stacks of pancakes are available to purchase on-site, and you can pour on as much maple syrup as you want. There are drinks available to purchase too including hot chocolate in case it's an especially cold day. It's a fun, fascinating, and tasty tour (especially if you spring for those pancakes)
