I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Book: In the Orbit of You & Movie: ElemenTory

We may have been given complimentary copies and/or access for review purposes to any books, products, and/or any other visual or audio media mentioned below. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: In the Orbit of You

Today we are recommending In the Orbit of You by Ashley Schumacher. Nova and Sam were neighbors and best friends when they were young. When Sam was removed from his abusive household and sent to live with his aunt and uncle, they promised to find each other someday. Years later, when Nova moves to Sam's town, and they are again neighbors, they find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other even though they are on different paths.

This is a mostly satisfying read. It is full of sweet moments and likable characters. Some of the characters, particularly Sam's girlfriend, Abigail, are a little too nice to be real. The ending is fairly satisfying, but it may leave you wanting more.

Movies: ElemenTory

Today we are recommending ElemenTory. The parents of a couple of missing children take drastic action when their children's plights don't seem to be getting enough attention. This fast-paced and exciting thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is also refreshingly unpredictable. It makes you wonder how vigilant they are about the people they allow in our children's schools.

ElemenTory is available digitally for purchase or rental as well as for purchase on DVD.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
