There’s a place where the rhythm of the city is music, where every corner has a story, and every window is a kaleidoscope. Where a girl can step out of her apartment and find the world. That’s Hell’s Kitchen, a new musical from 16-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys that’s about to make Broadway feel brand new.

23) HEATHER LITTEER AND WILD PROJECT PRESENT
W.O.(e).R.D. – ON THE VERGE
NYC WOMEN’S ARTS FESTIVAL
MARCH 28-MARCH 31, 2024
Heather Litteer and wild project (Ana Mari de Quesada, Producing Artistic Director) are proud to announce the complete line up for W.O.(e).R.D. – On The Verge. This festival of women’s arts, hosted and curated by Litteer, will take place on March 28 through March 31, 2024. Tickets are available now by visiting thewildproject.org.
Actress and downtown personality Heather Litteer expands her beloved W.O.(e).R.D. reading series into a full, four-night festival of art and entertainment called On The Verge. Litter started W.O.(e).R.D. (Women of Experience Read Downtown) more than a decade ago to highlight femme and non-binary artists that walk a bit off the beaten path and color outside the lines. This festival aims to do the same and will bring together women from a diverse range of backgrounds and creative disciplines. W.O.(e).R.D. – On The Verge will provide a platform for exciting women to meet, experiment, collaborate, and inspire one another through the sharing of ideas in a positive environment. Litteer’s intent with the festival is to cultivate a safe place for expression and risk taking that is free from societal restraints.
W.O.(e).R.D.’s On the Verge is an evening aimed to celebrate literary works, whether they’re published, unpublished, or still in progress. Beginning at Black & White and continuing at Howl Arts, the festival is now presented at wild project, where Litteer currently serves on the advisory board.
The program begins at 6PM and includes a PSEG True Diversity Film screening of the documentary Going to Mars — about poet Nikki Giovanni — followed by a conversation with the film’s producer Michèle Stephenson led by Donna Walker-Kuhne, Senior Advisor, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, at NJPAC.
The program opens with remarks by women leaders including Sara Peña, Director of External Affairs at PSEG, and Amina Bey, Executive Director of Newark Emergency Services for Families, Inc. Aligned with the program’s celebration of spoken word artistry, Naomi Extra will perform an original work of poetry.
Standing in Solidarity is NJPAC’s ongoing series of social justice conversations, often paired with a PSEG True Diversity Film Series screening. The March program is produced by Women@NJPAC and Dodge Poetry.

Works & Process presents The Metropolitan Opera: El Niño by John Adams on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 7pm at the Guggenheim’s Peter B. Lewis Theater, 1071 Fifth Avenue, NY. Tickets $35 to Choose-What-You-Pay. To purchase tickets, visit www.worksandprocess.org.
Prior to the April 23 company premiere of John Adams’s El Niño, Met General Manager Peter Gelb moderates a discussion with members of the creative team, and cast members perform highlights from the powerful score. Eminent American composer John Adams returns to the Metropolitan Opera after a decade-long hiatus with his acclaimed opera-oratorio, an extraordinarily dramatic retelling of the Nativity, which incorporates sacred and secular texts in English, Spanish, and Latin, from biblical times to the present day.
El Niño brings together some of contemporary opera’s fiercest champions, all of whom make highly anticipated company debuts: Marin Alsop, one of the great conductors of our time, who has led more than 200 new-music premieres; soprano Julia Bullock, a leading voice on and off stage; and pathbreaking bass-baritone Davóne Tines. Radiant mezzo-sopranos J’Nai Bridges and Daniela Mack take turns completing the principal trio. The moving, fully staged new production also marks the Met debut of Lileana Blain-Cruz, Resident Director at Lincoln Center Theater, who received universal acclaim for her Tony-nominated 2022 production of The Skin of Our Teeth.
