The riveting and introspective feature documentary is directed by Academy Award© winner Vanessa Roth (Freeheld), and co-directed, written and produced by 21-time New York Times Bestselling Author and first-time filmmaker, Laura Morton. The film features leading voices and experts of the mental health movement, including Executive Producer Kathy Ireland, Roth, Morton, and cast members Tim Storey and Lynn Lyons and many more.
Anxious Nation explores and captures the many faces and facets of anxiety. The film delves into the crisis of mental health and anxiety in America, while focusing on subjects ages 11-26 and their families. Centenary Stage Company, a not-for-profit professional theater in NW NJ, is thrilled to announce auditions for its Summer Stock Season. This summer CSC will present Rock of Ages and Seussical the Musical. Auditions will take place on May 4th and May 5th from 6 -10pm at the Centenary Stage Company located at 715 Grand Ave, Hackettstown NJ.
Rock of Ages, the Tony Award -nominated Broadway musical is a hilarious high energy tribute to the rock music of the 1980s. The show features classic rock hits for the iconic bands such as Journey, Bon Jovi, and Poison. CSC is seeking talented actors and singers for the following roles.
- Drew: a bar back with dreams of becoming a rock star (tenor)
- Sherrie: a small-town girl who move to Hollywood to pursue her dreams (mezzo soprano/belt)
- Stacee Jaxx: A famous and charismatic rock star (tenor)
- Dennis: the owner of the Bourbon Room, a famous rock club (baritone)
- Lonny: the funny and enthusiastic narrator of the show (tenor)

- Franz Klineman: son of Hertz Klineman (tenor)

Seussical the Musical is a family friendly production that brings to lie the beloved character and stories of Dr. Seuss. The show features music and lyrics by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, the award-winning duo behind Ragtime and Once on this Island. Seeking the following roles:
- The cat in the hat: a mischievous and playful character who serves as the narrator
- Horton the Elephant: a kindhearted and loyal elephant who tries to protect the WHO’s of Whoville
- JoJo: a young person who has a wild imagination and gets into trouble at school
- Gertrude McFuzz: a bird who is in love with Horton
- Mayzie La Bird: a glamorous and selfish bird who convinces Horton to sit on her egg
- The Kangaroo: A sassy kangaroo who gossips about Horton
Those auditioning should prepare 16 – 32 bars of a musical theater song. If auditioning for Rock of Ages, please prepare a song from the show that showcases vocal range. Auditionees will also be asked to dance and read from the script. Rehearsals begin the first week of June. Rock of Ages runs July 6th through July 16th. Seussical runs July 27th – August 6th.

Hailed internationally as a soaring architectural achievement, and housing world-class research facilities and scientific collections, next-generation classrooms, and innovative exhibitions, the American Museum of Natural History’s highly anticipated Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation will open to the public on May 4, catapulting the Museum into an exciting new era.
The Gilder Center embodies the Museum’s mission of science and education in every way—from sparking curiosity and wonder through new exhibits in strikingly designed spaces to providing new facilities where research collections, exhibitions, and learning are situated in close proximity, reinforcing the central role of natural history collections in scientific discovery and providing deeper experiences that connect visitors to the evidence and processes of science through engaging exhibits and programs. At the same time, the new building also enhances the visitor experience by establishing continuous pathways through its four-block campus, connecting buildings that were constructed over the course of nearly 150 years.
Designed by Studio Gang, the international architecture and urban design practice led by Jeanne Gang, the Gilder Center is the latest in a series of major projects over the last three decades that have transformed the Museum’s campus, its science, educational and exhibition spaces, and all four facades, including Central Park West (2012 and 2021) and the 77th Street “castle” façade (2009), which have been thoughtfully restored. These include:
- installation of fourth-floor fossil galleries dedicated to dinosaurs, early vertebrates, and mammals and their extinct ancestors (1996)
- the development of the Hall of Biodiversity (1998)
- the creation of the Frederick Phineas and Sandra Priest Rose Center for Earth and Space, housing the new Hayden Planetarium and the David S. and Ruth L. Gottesman Hall of Planet Earth (2000)
- the complete refurbishment of the Milstein Family Hall of Ocean Life (2003) and the renovation of the Arthur Ross Hall of Meteorites (2003)

Iolanthe, with “one of Sullivan’s finest scores” (The New York Times), is a battle of the sexes pitting members of Britain’s House of Lords against the Fairy Queen and her kin, yet its themes are supremely relatable today; it tells of how a minority of landed gentry make rules that dominate the majority, how boorish masculinity disrupts and dominates a tranquil civilization of women, and how all that may still lead to surprising results.
Joining the 120–member MasterVoices chorus and orchestra are some of the brightest stars of the Broadway stage, the cinema and television: silver-tongued Tony Award-nominated veteran David Garrison, who among his many credits previously appeared in MasterVoices’ Song of Norway, Knickerbocker Holiday and The Pirate of Penzance; two-time Tony Award-winning actress Christine Ebersole, who performed in MasterVoices’ The Grapes of Wrath; mezzo soprano Shereen Ahmed, who most recently starred as Eliza Doolittle in the national tour of My Fair Lady; rising “powerful baritone” (The Washington Post) Schyler Vargas, whose recent credits include Arizona Opera, Atlanta Opera and Glimmerglass Opera Festival; rising soprano Ashley Fabian, whose “voice is absolutely beautiful” (Scene and Heard International); Tony Award-winning actor Santino Fontana, seen in last season’s MasterVoices sold-out revival of Anyone Can Whistle and also in Song of Norway; stage and concert veteran Jason Danieley, “the most exquisite tenor on Broadway” (The New York Times), who performed in MasterVoices’ production of The Mikado as well as in Song of Norway; and Tony Award-nominated bass Phillip Boykin, most recently seen on Broadway in the revival of The Music Man and who sang in the MasterVoices’ revival of The Pirates of Penzance.

Located four hours north of New York City and 1.5 hours north of Albany, Rail Explorers in Cooperstown will open for the summer and fall seasons from May 6, 2023 to October 31, 2023. The Cooperstown Division features two tour options, including Milford Track which is a 12-mile round trip (the national brand’s longest ride yet!) that journeys north through farmlands and forests along the Susquehanna River, as well as the Charlotte Valley Express which is an 8-mile Southern roundtrip that also meanders alongside the River and goes over the majestic 200-foot long Portlandville Trestle. Both journeys incorporate an electric pedal assist system for the entirety of tours.
Rail Explorers Cooperstown’s depot is located in Milford, New York approximately 15 minutes south of downtown Cooperstown at 136 E. Main St., Milford, NY 13807. Nearby attractions include the Ommegang Brewery and Fly Creek Cedar Mill, in addition to the major attractions, such as the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Rail Explorers Cooperstown operates Thursday through Monday. There are no tours on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Ten 2-person Tandems or nine 4-person Quads are available and can accommodate up to 56 riders total. The Milford Track Tour start at $95 for 2-person or $175 for 4-person, while Charlotte Valley Express Tours start at $90 for 2-person or $160 for 4-person. Free parking is available for Rail Explorers at the train station.

The highly anticipated Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival at Skylands Stadium is back and better than ever before. South Street Seaport Museum announces Fresh Prints at Bowne & Co., 211 Water Street, New York, 10038. This free event will be held on the first Thursday of every month.
Come to Bowne & Co. for a one-of-a-kind New York experience! This monthly free open house will feature a breadth of printing equipment that you will be invited to use. You’ll get to see how the designers at Bowne & Co. lock up limited edition designs that will showcase some of the more eccentric parts from the Seaport Museum’s printing and graphic arts collection. Established in 1775, this letterpress print shop is the city’s oldest operating business under the same name. Today, the shop continues the age-old tradition of job (or small batch) printing.
