If you ever wanted to know what life is like for a big
city vet, you are definitely going to want to read The
Vet at Noah's Ark by Dr. Doug Mader. Dr. Mader was the
vet of an inner city animal hospital in the Los Angles
area where he not only had to contend with the
problems of his animal patients but also those of his
human staff as well as other issues caused by the
general social unrest in the surrounding area during
the early 1990s. This book will make you smile and it
will warm your heart, but it will also break your
heart. If you are especially sensitive there may be
some parts of the book that are particularly
triggering. However, if you can get through it, it is
