I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

If you ever wanted to know what life is like for a big city vet, you are definitely going to want to read The Vet at Noah's Ark by Dr. Doug Mader. Dr. Mader was the vet of an inner city animal hospital in the Los Angles area where he not only had to contend with the problems of his animal patients but also those of his human staff as well as other issues caused by the general social unrest in the surrounding area during the early 1990s. This book will make you smile and it will warm your heart, but it will also break your heart. If you are especially sensitive there may be some parts of the book that are particularly triggering.
