I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Genesee River's High Falls and Brown's Race Historic District

What: Genesse River's High Falls  and Brown's Race Historic District

Where: 60 Browns Race
             Rochester, NY

Who: All ages

A scenic place to go in the Finger Lake region of New York is Genesse River's, High Falls. This is  the tallest of three large waterfalls on this river that flow through the Rochester area. The High Falls was where Rochester's early industry was centered. You can see remnants of this early industry including a wheel pit. Both then and now harnessing the power of the river was important to the city's industry. However, in those early days it was mostly about powering mills and today it is more about harnessing hydroelectric power. For a better view of the falls, you might want to visit the Pont De Rennes pedestrian bridge or go to the rooftop of the Genesse Brew House.

And that's our view. For more information about the Genesse River High Falls and/or Brown's Race Historic District, visit www.visitrochester.com/things-to-do/outdoors/waterfalls/high-falls.

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
