I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday: Apple Blossom Carnival at the Queens County Farm Museum

We were given complimentary tickets to the Apple Blossom Carnival at the Queens County Farm Museum for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Apple Blossom Carnival

Where: Queens County Farm Museum
             7350 Little Neck Parkway
              Glen Oaks, NY

Who: All ages

When: Through April 30, 2023

Mom -Anyone can enjoy a visit to the Queens County Farm Museum's Apple Blossom Carnival. There are thrilling rides for big kids like the parachute and the hang glider, and fun rides for little kids like the train and the fire engine ride, plus a whole lot more. There is a gigantic slide. There are plenty of games to play and there's even a hayride.

In case, all that fun and excitement ramps up your appetite, there is plenty to eat too. Chicken, burgers, tacos, and fried clams, are just a small sampling of the delicious array of foods available.  You can satisfy your sweet tooth too by indulging in one of the many tasty dessert offerings including, funnel cake, fried Oreos, and ices.

There are cute farm animals to visit like sheep, goats, and alpacas. You may even get to feed one of the animals but only with the farm-bought food that is approved for that animal.

Visiting the animals is completely free for all ages. However, visiting the carnival requires a $25 fee for all except children under 2. The fee must be paid online prior to attending the fair. Upon payment of the fee, your, name will be put on a list at the entrance to the fair, and you will receive a bracelet allowing you entry when you arrive. The fee entitles you not only to entry to the carnival but unlimited rides as well. Games, hayrides, and food are extra.

The festival grounds are not extremely large in area, and you won't necessarily need to spend a whole day here although there is a lot to do.  Still, it is definitely a fun-filled way to spend a few hours with family and/or friends.

And that's our view. For more about the Apple Blossom Carnival or to purchase tickets, visit www.queensfarm.org/apple-blossom-carnival. We will be talking more about the Queens County Farm Museum itself as well as other upcoming events the farm will be hosting in future posts.

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
