I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Still More Saturday - Kristen Chenoweth at NJPAC

We were given complimentary tickets to Kristen Chenoweth at NJPAC for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Kristin Chenoweth at NJPAC

Where: NJPAC
             1 Center St.
              Newark, NJ

When: This event took place on March 9, 2024

Broadway star, Kristen Chenoweth recently headlined a concert at NJPAC. The concert included a nice mix of Broadway-related and other songs plus a bit of reading from her current book, I'm Not Philosopher But I Have Thoughts. A duet with her husband, a member of her band, and Popular, her signature song from her most famous role as Glinda in the original cast of the musical juggernaut, Wicked, were among the highlights. She also premiered a song from the new musical she is currently working on, Queen of Versailles, accompanied by Stephen Schwartz, composer of that musical as well as Wicked. The gracious headliner even gave her backup singers time to shine with their rendition of (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman.

Ms. Chenoweth mostly kept the evening light. Although she engaged in plenty of playful banter with the audience between songs, she didn't get into any politically charged topics and only briefly mentioned anything about her own background. All in all, it was a lovely enjoyable song-filled evening.
