I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch is a revival of a play by Ossie Davis that was originally written and staged in 1961 and hasn't been seen on Broadway since then. The show revolves around a Black preacher scheming to get his community's church back. However, to do so he has to go through Ol' Cap'n Cotchipee, a White plantation owner based on whose attitude and behavior you would never know that the Civil War is over. This is actually a very funny show that shines a light on some dark truths that are scarily relevant today. The charismatic Leslie Odom Jr. shines in the title role. He is surrounded by an equally brilliant cast with a special shoutout to Kara Young who is an absolute hysterical delight in the role of Lutiebelle Gussie Mae Jenkins. The show is a limited run but there is still plenty of time to see it since it will run through January, and we would highly recommend doing so.
