Mom-
I participated in the Madonna Rebel Heart album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided an album to review but all opinions are my own.
Today I am recommending Rebel Heart by Madonna. This is Madonna's 13th studio album. While it is not my personal favorite of her albums, there is a lot to enjoy here. Madonna's voice is as strong as ever, and I appreciate that she enunciates fairly clearly which is a rarity with today's musical artists. However, there is a lot of inappropriate language and adult subject matter so I would not recommend the album for children or anyone who objects to or is offended by such things in their music. The album does, in fact, come with a warning sticker. The language and subject matter does seems to take away from the album somewhat since the best songs are the ones that do not contain inappropriate language or adult subject matter and without them it would have had a much greater reach. Nevertheless, there is still a lot to enjoy about the album. Living for Love is upbeat and easy to dance to. Ghosttown is hauntingly beautiful. Joan of Arc is achingly sweet and sad. The album's title song Rebel Heart is also very pretty. To order this album or any of the tracks on it on iTunes go to: http://bit.ly/REBELHEART. And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
