A Year with Frog and Toad tells the story of two friends, the cheerful and popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad. Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. The two friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, part make believe, A Year with Frog and Toad tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons.

THE PIANIST is a new stage adaptation of Wladyslaw Szpilman's harrowing account of the annihilation of Jewish life in Warsaw during World War II and his remarkable survival through the transcendent power of music. Szpilman was the most acclaimed young musician of his time until his promising career was interrupted by the onset of World War II. He played the last live music heard over Polish radio airwaves before Nazi artillery hit. Though he escaped deportation, Szpilman was forced to live in the heart of the Warsaw ghetto. The play follows Szpilman's heroic and inspirational journey of survival with the unlikely help of a sympathetic German officer.

Adapted from a vast array of General Eisenhower's memoirs, speeches, and letters, Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground is a candid and fascinating fictional eavesdropping on President Dwight D. Eisenhower at his Gettysburg, Pennsylvania farm. It is 1962 and The New York Times Magazine has published its first list ranking the American Presidents in order of greatness. Pondering his placement on the list, Eisenhower looks back on his life - his Kansas upbringing, his decorated Army career, his victories in World War II, and his two terms as President – contemplating the qualities and adversities that make an American President great.

8) The Picher Project
THE PICHER PROJECT is a new musical that explores the rise and destruction of the now-abandoned mining town of Picher, Oklahoma. Once the world’s largest producer of lead and zinc, Picher became the EPA’s #1 Superfund site, deeming it the most toxic place in America. Based on interviews, personal stories and historic events, the show covers the town’s 100-year history from the opening of the mines to the town’s demise. While grappling with losing their homes, the town is forced to confront their complicated political divide, unpredictable natural disasters, and environmentally caused illnesses. Through the lives of Picher citizens and the often forgotten experience of the Quapaw Nation, THE PICHER PROJECT shows the struggles of illness, pride, love and loss, ultimately asking the following questions: How do we take responsibility for our history? How do we treat the land we live on? How do we leave our home?

ESREVER is a blend of live electronic music, video, lighting installation, and experimental juggling created and performed by 3AM Theatre's Artistic Director Kyle Driggs. ESREVER is Driggs' most personal work to date, deconstructing the art forms he is most passionate about, and melding them into a feverish, transcendent live performance.
In this production, Driggs dissects a lifelong pursuit of juggling, diving deep into a series of loops manifesting a juggler's state of mind. ESREVER mines Driggs' experience and direct personal relationship to juggling, incorporating original and pre0recorded music, kinetic sculptures, and a customized lighting design.

Habit Formed explores how habits are created and broken in our lives. These habits can manifest strength, ease, and freedom and also create limits, boundaries, and affliction. Mounting physical structures, motif, and pattern will embody the ways in which we, as humans, are habit forming creatures. The structures will be unpacked over the course of the evening through a playful, athletic, and sensuous movement vocabulary. The ultimate journey of the work will tell a story of discernment, unpacking how we can be empowered by our habits and not impaired by them. BCM to present a day of bilingual performances on Saturday, September 30
Brooklyn Children’s Museum will Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this year with a full day of performances on Saturday, September 30.
Visitors can enjoy a bilingual performance from New York City Children’s Theater of their original, interactive production, ¡Corre, Abuelita, Run!, which will headline the festival at 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM. Developed for children ages two to five years-old, the 30-minute adventure play takes little ones on a language journey through the five boroughs as they cheer on Abuelita during the NYC Marathon. The show will be presented in the center of the Museum’s second floor gallery, theater-in-the-round style.
At 10:30 AM, BCM will present a bilingual puppet show about animals with artist Karina Onofre. Participants will learn about a variety of wild and domestic animals in both English and Spanish. Kids will sing, dance, play, make animal sounds and more!
At 3:00 PM, BCM will present a storytelling hour with author Alyssa Reynoso-Morris, who is reading her book Plátanos Are Love. Alyssa is a queer Afro-Latinx Dominican and Puerto Rican writer, wife, mother, and community organizer. She crafts heartfelt stories about home, family, food, and the fun places she has been.

The Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) and Creative Artists Agency (CAA) have teamed with Vanity Fair to present “Conversations at PAC NYC,” a series of high-profile conversations featuring award-winning authors, bestselling storytellers, and cultural changemakers from the worlds of art, entertainment, media, and politics.
The inaugural series will launch on September 26 with Kerry Washington in conversation with Vanity Fair’s Editor-in-Chief Radhika Jones and run through Spring 2024.

The Fifth Avenue Portrait Collection, a massive public art exhibit by artist Alexa Meade, spanning 180 feet long, is now on display in the heart of New York City on Fifth Avenue and 44th Street.
All 22 works of art in The Fifth Avenue Portrait Collection are by Alexa Meade, who paints directly on the faces and clothes of live models, creating the illusion that real humans are two-dimensional paintings on canvas. The colorful living portraits are larger that life, with many of them over 12’ tall.
The art is being exhibited on the outside of the building of the former Wonderland Dreams immersive exhibition. Every inch of the 26,000 square foot space was painted from floor to ceiling, using Alexa Meade’s signature style of art which lets you step inside of a painting. It took over 1,000 gallons of paint to transform the space, which was a former Best Buy. Over 100,000 people came to see the Wonderland Dreams exhibition during its year-long run.
The photography in the collection was primarily captured by either Ruby June or Mike Monaghan.
The live models Alexa Meade painted include such high-profile New Yorkers as Tony Award-winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell, Grammy Award-winning singer Walter Russell III, and Emmy Award-winning journalist Paul Wontorek. Additional Broadway actors painted in the collection include Nadia Brown, Julia Lester, Gus Birney, Jonalyn Saxer, and Matthew Sims Jr.
Alexa Meade painted numerous creative powerhouses for the series, including magician Zach King, writer Amber Ruffin, costume designer Emilio Sosa, producer Eva Price, dancer Melissa Becraft, and composer Helen Park. The models also include Ruby June, Richie Ridge, Keith Hurd, Adrian Richardson, and Shelli Lether.
The Fifth Avenue Portrait Collection is located at 529 5th Avenue steps away from Grand Central Station, Bryant Park, and the Museum of Modern Art.

The Amazing Maize Maze 2023
Are you ready for the challenge? The fun begins in a sprawling 3-acre field of towering corn stalks at the Amazing Maize Maze sponsored by Con Edison, which is now officially open Fridays – Sundays through October 28th as well as Monday, October 9th. The adventure is available from 2 pm to 5:30 pm on Fridays for the after-school, remote work and leaf peeping crowd; and 11 am to 4:30 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Indigenous Peoples’ Day. In the style of a mock documentary, The Absolute Future intersects astrology, astronomy, and pop-culture phenomena with dance and theatre to better understand how to come together in a world that might be literally falling apart.
