Me - Franklin Square, wow! I really liked Franklin Square. They had a carousel. It was just a regular carousel, and I'm too old for carousels so that was boring to me. My sister really liked it though. The playground was divided into two parts. One was for really little kids. The other was for ages 6-12. Most of it was too young for me. However, there was this one really cool spinny thing which I really liked. You could either stand or sit on it. After someone gives you a starting push, you use your body weight to go around and around in a circle. I wish they had they had one of those in a playground near us. They had a miniature golf course. I loved the miniature golf course. It is one of my favorite miniature golf courses ever. They had these cute little buildings that I loved. I just wanted to open the door and see if there was anything inside them because they were so cute. They also had a food stand called Square Burger. The food was amazing! That was my favorite part because I love food. I got a burger. It was so juicy and good. For dessert, I just got chocolate custard. It just tasted like soft serve chocolate ice cream. I don't get the difference. My Mom, Dad and sister all got Tastycake Butterscotch Krimpets shakes. I had a sip of everyone's because I didn't think I was going to like it but I loved it. Franklin Square is a really fun park, and I wish they had one like that near me.
Me - Franklin Square is a really fun place. Melia was kind of bored with the carousel, but the rest of us liked it especially Aurella. Aside from the miniature Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, and Ben Franklin Bridge at the golf course at the Square which we talked about in yesterday's Where-Go-Wednesday post, there was also a miniature Elfreth Alley, a miniature Friendship Arch, a miniature Love sculpture, and a miniature Philadelphia Art Museum complete with Rocky's footprints next to it. Elfreth Alley is the oldest continually inhabited street in the U.S. The Friendship Arch can be found in Philadelphia's Chinatown. The Love sculpture can be found in Love Park a plaza in Center City Philadelphia. The plaza actually was named for the sculpture and not the other way around. The Philadelphia Art Museum is the place where the character, Rocky ran up the steps in several of the Rocky movies. There is still a bronze statue of Rocky at the museum as well as statute of Rocky at the Independence Visitors Center. There is also a hole on the golf course at Franklin Square that it is a tribute to Philadelphia's 4 major sports teams, baseball's Phillies, football's Eagles, basketball's 76ers and hockey's Fliers, and it has all of their logos. Aurella had fun playing on the swings at the playground. Melia liked spinning around on one of the spinners. We all loved the food at SquareBurger especially the Cake Shake. Vanilla ice cream. caramel and pieces of Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpet, what is not to like? Good food, good fun, Franklin Square Park is a great place to go.
And that's our view. What would you like to see a miniature of on a miniature golf course?
Tune in tomorrow for Funny Friday.
