I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Me - Fairycakes was a really good show. I really enjoyed it. It was very funny. It was a story about fairytales but told in a completely original way. I liked that some parts of the story were not predictable. The surprises kept the story interesting. Even though it wasn't really a musical, there was a little music in the show. I enjoyed that about it. The costumes and the set were nice. The costumes were really pretty. They were colorful. The acting was good. I was familiar with a few of the performers but not all of them. They were all well-cast in their roles. Since the theater came back, this is one of the best shows that I have seen so far, I would highly recommend it.

Mom- Fairycakes is an extremely fun show. While it is related to both fairytales and Shakespeare's a Midsummer Night's Dream, it is completely unique and different and puts a whole new spin on things. Douglass Carter Beane who is known for writing the book of such delightfully amusing shows as the musicals, Xanadu and Cinderella, is definitely in his element here. The show is a wonderful addition to his legacy of work. If you are tired of the same old fairytales, you are definitely going to want to see this joyful new show.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
