I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Statement Sleeves

What: Statement Sleeves

Where: Museum at FIT
             7th Ave. at 27th St.
            New York, NY

Who: All ages

When: Through August 25. 2024

The current exhibit at the Museum at FIT, unlike most of their exhibits, does not focus on a particular time period, style of clothing, or fashion trend. Rather, it focuses on one particular aspect of a garment, specifically the sleeve. The exhibit is, in fact, arranged by type of sleeve instead of chronologically as are most of their exhibits. The exhibit highlights over 70 items in the museum's collection with magnificent sleeves. They range from the puffy sleeves of the 1830s to the modern sleeves of today and include bell, bishop, raglan sleeves, and more. If you want to explore the wide range of sleeves that have adorned garments throughout history, you will not want to miss this fascinating exhibit.

And that's our view. For more about the Museum at FIT or to plan a free visit, go to www.fitnyc.edu/museum

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
