I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Dress, Dreams & Desire: Fashion & Psychoanalysis

What: Dress, Dreams & Desire: Fashion & Pyschoanalysis

Where: Museum at FIT
             227 W. 27th St.
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 17 and Up

When: Through January 24, 2026

The exhibit, Dress, Dreams & Desire: Fashion & Psychoanalysis, explores the relationship between fashion and the unconscious. The history of fashion is explored through the lens of psychoanalysis. It covers both the way basic psychoanalytic concepts have been reflected in styles of dress, and how this has changed over time.

The exhibit includes approximately 100 items of clothing. Designers featured include John Galliano for Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, and many more. Items on display include Elsa Shiapererlli's mirrored jacket, Moschino's chocolate bar dress, and more. Other items on display include the Versace safety pin dress that Elizabeth Hurley wore to a film premiere in 1994 and the green plunge Donatella Versace dress that Jennifer Lopez wore to the 2000 Academy Awards.

And that's our view. The exhibit is free to visit, as are all exhibitions at the Museum at FIT. For more information, visit www.fitnyc.edu/museum/exhibitions.

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
