This Much I Know is an interesting psychological drama. Rather than having a linear plot, the show combines several different stories as a commentary on the decision-making process and how much responsibility one takes for the things beyond one's control. There is no commonality of time and place as the interweaving stories occur in different locations and time periods. They all involve characters at a moral crossroad. They include stories about Stalin's daughter's decision to defect, a young white supremacist questioning the beliefs he was raised with, and a professor's wife grappling with her responsibility for a tragic accident.
The play is extremely thoughtful and well-written, and skillfully performed by a three member ensemble. They effortlessly flit in and out of numerous characters at a moment's notice. Even on the night when we attended, when the show had to be stopped twice due to a mysterious buzzing noise, they seemlessly maintained their professionalism and never missed a beat.
And that's our view. For more about This Much I Know or to purchase tickets, visit www.59e59.org/shows/show-detail/this-much-i-know.
Tune in Saturday for Still More Theater Saturday.
