I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Blacklisted: An American Story

We received complimentary tickets to the New York Historical Society for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Blacklisted: An American Story

Where: New York Historical
             170 Central Park W.
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up

When: Through November 2, 2025

Blacklisted: An American Story provides a comprehensive look at the history of the Red Scare era of the 1950s. This exhibit couldn't be more timely. It is especially important in this particular period to look back at that shameful period in our past and examine what allowed those events to occur, spread, and ruin so many innocent people's lives. So many things that are occurring in this country today provide scary parallels to many of the things that were happening back then. The entire exhibit is a crucial reminder to be vigilantly active and stand up for, respect, and work hard to ensure that the rights of us all are respected and protected.

And that's our view. For more about Blacklisted: An American Story, visit www.nyhistory.org/exhibitions/blacklisted-an-american-story For more about the New York Historical in general or to purchase tickets, visit www.nyhistory.org

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
