I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Oil & Whiskey is a new country musical about a pair of exes who decide to meet up at a bar for a drink. Despite an initial flood of nostalgic remembrance and attraction, it's more about rehashing what went wrong. However, that does make for a lot of great songs. Beautiful love ballads are nice, but angry songs are just so much fun, and this show has plenty of those. Many of them are the kinds of songs you can imagine listening to again and screaming at the top of your lungs about your own ex. The voices of the cast members were really incredible as well, making the songs even more of a treat to listen to. Unfortunately, with the loudness of the band, it was not always easy to catch all the lyrics, which did take away a little bit, since the lyrics were such an important part of the whole experience. This show is a sobering reminder that some people just aren't meant to be together, but it's so much better living through heartbreak vicariously than living it yourself.
