Where-To-Go Wednesday - Citi Field Tour

Me - The Citi Field Tour was fun. We got to see a lot of different parts of the stadium. It was more thorough than other stadium tours I have been on. I liked that about it. 

We got to go through the VIP entrance to get to the tour, and we waited in the Press Conference Room. They let people sit and take pictures if they wanted. 

The Mets Museum and Hall of Fame was one of the highlights. They had seats from the old stadium. They had balls from World Series and playoffs and their two World Series trophies. They had a statute of Mr. Met. They had a lot of other interesting things too. 

We went to the different lounges and clubs that they have at the stadium. We went into the press box.  We also went in a luxury box. I would love to sit in a luxury box at a game. That would be cool. Overall, it was a fun and fascinating tour, and I can't wait to attend another Mets game!

Mom - If you really want to get an overview of everything about Citi Field, home of baseball's New York Mets, you are definitely going to want to take an official tour of the venue. The tour includes areas that you normally may not have access to like the luxury boxes, the press box, and various exclusive clubs. 

It also includes a visit to the Mets Museum and Hall of Fame where you can learn about some of the coaches, players and others inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame. You definitely will not have time to read all the plaques and learn about all of them in your short time at the museum, however. You can also learn about the three stadiums where the Mets have played during their history, their two World Series wins and so much more,

You can view exciting memorabilia including Willie Mays cleats, Tug McGraw's baseball contract, and the ball that went through Bill Buckner's legs leading to the Mets 1986 World Series Championship plus a whole lot more. Other areas of the stadium pay tribute to New York Met and baseball history in general as well. There are areas devoted to Gil Hodges, Mike Piazza, Jackie Robinson, and more as well as a wall of Met VIPs for every year of their history.

You can learn a lot from your friendly tour guides as well. They are very knowledgeable and very willing to answer questions. They definitely add to the experience and help you immerse yourself in everything related to the New York Mets. Whether you want to learn more about the stadium, or about the New York Mets and their history, or you just want to relive the team's glory days, you are definitely going to want to take a Citi Field Tour. 

Although tours are not available every day of the season, there are game day tours and nongame day tours available. Game day tours, may not include some locations that are available on nongame day tours. Private tours are also available year-round.
