I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday -The Polonsky Exhibit of The New York Public Library's Treasures

What:
The Polonsky Exhibit of the New York Public Library Treasures

Where: New York Public Library
             Stephen A. Schwartzman Building
             476 5th Ave.
             New York, NY

Who: All ages

Me - The Polonsky Exhibit at the New York library is very large. They have so many different artifacts, documents, and pictures. They have all kinds of different items. Some of them are pretty interesting. The collection includes items from when Studio 54 was a disco before it became a theater. There are also original drawings from The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. I really enjoyed looking at those. You can also see the original Winnie the Pooh toys. Those have been on a display at the library for a long time, but they used to be in a different place. They have one of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence. There are so many different things that you can't even describe them all in one place. It doesn't look that big but it is packed. There is quite a lot on display. If you want to go through every item it will take quite a while. It is worth it, however. Anyone is likely to find things that interest them in this exciting exhibit.

Mom - If you have ever wanted to see such treasures as original manuscripts,  rare photographs, and so much more, you won't want to miss The Polonsky Exhibit of the New York Public Library's Treasures at the library's Stephen A. Schwartzman building. Objects in the collection include an original American flag, costume sketches from the 1964  premiere production of Fiddler on the Roof, Tammany Scrapbooks and so much more. There are even rare performance videos to watch.

Although the exhibit is completely free, you must register for tickets for a specific date and time in order to visit. Also, please note the exhibit will be closed from September 26 through October 7, and some objects will be taken off display and others will be added. If you want the opportunity to get a closeup view of some incredible treasures, you are really going to want to schedule a visit to this exciting exhibit!
