I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz

We were given free tickets to Chasing Rainbows for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz

Where: Papermill Playhouse
             22 Brookside Drive
             Milburn, NJ

Who: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up

When: Through October 27, 2019

Mom's view: Chasing Rainbows is the story of Judy Garland's rise to fame. The show is full of many of Judy's best loved songs including I'm Always Chasing Rainbows, Zing Went the Strings of My Heart and of course, Over the Rainbow as well as familiar characters like Mickey Rooney, LB Mayer, and Deanna Durbin. The acting is very good especially that of Sophie Knapp as a spunky adorable young Judy (when she was still known as Baby Gumm) and Ruby Rakos as the plucky determined older Frances Gumm/Judy Garland. The singing is great and at times even incredible. The dancing choreographed by director, Denis Jones is unique and amazing. Although some of parts of the story ring untrue for instance, the influence Judy has on her characters look in The Wizard of Oz, the story is still fascinating and definitely worth seeing.

And that's Mom's view.
