Me - The Decline and Fall of of The Entire World As Seen Through The Eyes of Cole Porter was a show that consisted of Cole Porter songs. I didn't really recognize most of the songs because I am more familiar with his more well known songs. I typically prefer shows with plots over musical reviews. However, if I was more familiar with the songs I probably would have enjoyed the show a little more. Despite this, the cast members were talented. If you like Cole Porter's music and are interested in his less popular shows, you would enjoy this show.*

Mom - The Decline and Fall of of The Entire World As Seen Through The Eyes of Cole Porter is a mouthful of a title, and the show is jampacked with the songs of Cole Porter. Unfortunately, however, most of the songs are from his lesser known musicals, and songs from his more popular shows are crammed into a medley at the end of the show. This does not mean that the songs from the lesser known shows are not worth a listen. Some of them are quite pretty while others are extremely amusing. If you attended the recent York Theater production of Fifty Million Frenchmen, you may recognize a couple of the songs from that shown. Another song or two will show up again in the upcoming production of Panama Hattie. All of the songs are full of Porter's clever turns of phrase and beautifully sung by the talented cast. Both of these things combined is what makes this show worthwhile.
And that's our view.
