I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - The Hope Hypothesis

We were given free tickets to The Hope Hypothesis for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: The Hope Hypothesis

Where: Voyage Theater Company production at The Sheen Center
             18 Bleeker St.
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 15 and Up

When: Through November 15, 2019

Mom's view: Amena is young law student of Syrian birth. When she goes to a government facility to finalize her immigration paperwork,  the clerk takes one look at her birth certificate and panics which sets off an unfortunate series of events. The Hope Hypothesis is a timely show about the current state of the world where living under the constant threat of terrorism has people on edge and ready to jump to conclusions and react negatively at the slighest provocation. Watching this show is like driving by an accident, you don't know whether to stare right at it or look away in horror.  However, in this case, you will definitely want to watch.  The Hope Hypothesis is an extremely well written, well cast and terrifically performed play. If you like shows that don't try to offer any easy answers but really make you think, you wil definitely like this show.

And that's Mom's view.

Tune in Saturday for Still More Theater Saturday.
