I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

             4th Floor
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up

When: Through October 27, 2019

Mom - The Green Room is about four college theater students who go through their college years hanging out together in the green room of their theater department. This is a show that was clearly written by a man. The way the male characters treat the female characters is kind of offensive especially in the age of me too. Also, there are songs called Bachelor's Anthem, Nothing Can Stop My Boys, and The Good-Looking Girls among others which are pretty much just like they sound except Nothing Can Stop My Boys which is even worse if you know what it is really about. There are some nice songs  in the show  as well like the touching finale Waiting in the Wings and the amusing It's All About Me. Ariana Valdes who sings It's All About Me is the standout performer in the cast and brings the most believaibility to her part. Her singing of It's All About Me is a highlight of the show. The other cast members have nice singing voices too. The combination of their voices is particular beautiful. The few times in the show when the four of them sing  in harmony is definitely the best part of the show.

And that's Mom's view.
