I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Rockefeller Center

What: Rockfeller Center

Where: 45 Rockefeller Plaza
            New York, NY

Who: All ages

Mom - One of the things Rockefeller Center may be most well known for is being the site of the big Christmas tree, but there is so much more to it than that. Just about any day of the year just about anybody can find something to do here. As a matter of fact, Christmas time is probably the worse time to visit because it gets so claustrophoibically crowded here at that time of year. NBC is located at Rockefeller Center so you can apply for tickets to attend a taping of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon or Late Night With Seth Myers or go on the NBC Tour or even shop at the NBC store. For more about the tour, see our previous post Where-To-Go-Wednesday - NBC Tour.  On weekday mornings, you can stand in the plaza and watch a taping of The Today show. There is the FDNY Fire Zone where kids can learn about fire safety. For more about that, see our previous post Where-To-Go Wednesday: FDNY Fire Zone. There is the World Famous Radio City Music Hall which in addition to the yearly Christmas Spectacular also hosts other concerts, tours and events throughout the year. There is the Top of the Rock featuring an observation deck where you can get a great view of the City. There are numerous restaurants and stores including the new locations of such family favorites as American Girl and FAO Schwartz. There are seasonal activities like ice skating in the winter and outdoor dining in the summer. 365 days year, there is something for just about anybody to do at this fascinating and fun complex.

And that's Mom's view. Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
