For some children having to trudge through the snow and ice is the worst part about winter. In their minds, they may even think the worst part it's having to go to school at all. Other children have a much harder life and not just in winter. Far too many children around the world are abused every day in far too many ways. One group of children is being abused in a way that is actually sanctioned in some areas or at least not expressly forbidden. These are the children who are subjected to abusive so called therapies in attempt to change their sexual orientation despite the fact that there is no prove that these so called therapies work. Dear Congress Voices of American Children Currently Being Abused by Conversion Therapy by Vellah Jones & the Children's Committee is their story. The book is a combination of poetry and the stories of some of these children in their own words. The goal of this book is to raise awareness. Currently, only  13 states, the District of Columbia, and certain counties, municipalities, and/or communities throughout the country outright ban the practice of conversion therapy.
