I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Still More Theater Saturday - Upcoming Broadway Shows at BroadwayCon 2019

We were given free tickets to BroadwayCon for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed our our own.

Me & Mom - BroadwayCon is not only a place to learn about shows that are currently running on Broadway. You can also find out about shows that will be coming to Broadway soon. This year BroadwayCon included a panel on Be More Chill as well as performances and more from other upcoming shows.

Be More Chill - This show is the first to be propelled to Broadway by the fans. It had an initial run at Two River Theater in Red Bank, NJ, but did not get good reviews. A cast album was released and went viral leading to the show having a sold-out run Off Broadway which in turn led to it's upcoming Broadway run.

Other shows represented at this year's BroadwayCon were:

Beetlejuice - Sophia Ann Caruso who plays Lydia in this musical based on the movie sang the song Dead Mama. For more about Beetlejuice the musical, visit https://beetlejuicebroadway.com.

Hadestown - Anais Mitchell, the show's composer sang the song Why We Build the Wall. For more about Hadestown, visit www.hadestown.com.

Kiss Me Kate - Stephanie Styles sang the song Always True to You in My Fashion. This limited run revival will be presented by the Roundabout Theatre Company. For more about Kiss Me Kate, visit www.roundabouttheatre.org/get-tickets/2018-2019-season/kiss-me-kate.

Tootsie - Lilli Cooper and ensemble members sang Gone Gone Gone and Sarah Stiles sang What's Gonna Happen from Tootsie another musical based on a film.
