Mom - The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County is a nice little museum located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The museum focuses on Jewish history with a particular emphasis on local area history. There are plenty of pictures and artifacts and some flip books to go through with information about noteworthy people from the area from the past or about the museum itself. In addition to the permanent collection, there are also rotating exhibits. The current one regards family history through Dinnerware. This exhibits includes dinnerware used by local families, stories about the original owners and even recipes the families cooked and ate using the dinnerware. Considering its size the museum actually contains a lot more information and artificats than you would think. The museum also hosts Jewish related movies, lectures, and shows. The Museum is open Monday through Thursday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It is closed Fridays and Saturdays. Entrance fees are nominal, $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers. Students are free. Yearly memberships start at $20.00. Fees to specific fees vary but are still reasonable. For more information, https://www.jhmomc.org.
And that's Mom's view. Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
