I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

When: This event occurred on January 6, 2019

Be More Swing was an event in which the three swings for the cast of Be More Chill, Troy Iwata, Cameron Bond, and Talia Suskauer appeared in concert at Feinsteins/54 Below.

Me - Be More Swing was an incredible show! Considering the fact that the Be More Chill cast consists of some of my favorite people in the world, I knew the second I heard about it that it was going to be amazing.  Troy, Cameron, and Talia  have an abdundance of talent. I could listen to them for hours. I had heard Talia's voice before, and knew how talented she is. However, Troy I had never heard before. I figured he would be good, but I had no idea how amazing he was going to be. With almost every year, show that I have seen or wanted to see, I have been in love with original cast, and I constantly fear that I'll miss out on one of their performances. Considering, George Salazar is one of my favorite people on the planet and Michael Mell is one of my favorite characters, I figured I would feel the same way.  I quickly found out, however, that I would be thrilled to see Troy as Michael as well, and I strongly hope to at least one time. In conclusion, I love everybody involved with Be More Chill, and I feel so lucky to have such amazing and talented roll models to look up to.*

Mom - Be More Swing was a complete delight even for people like myself who are not as completely invested in Be More Chill as my daughter. It's not that I dislike Be More Chill. I have grown to enjoy the show and most,  if not all, of the music, which is a good thing because my daughter listens to it constantly. I am definitely looking forward to seeing it on Broadway hopefully. However, it is just not as important to me as it clearly is to my daughter. Therefore, I was not quite sure what to expect from Be More Swing. It turned out to be quite an enjoyable evening. Troy, Cameron, and Talia  are all very talented performers. The evening started off with an incredible mashup of Be More Chill songs and from then on continued with a variety of other songs, none of which were from Be More Chill, but most, if not all, of which were from other shows. Some of the night's highlights included Cameron Bond and Troy Iwata's hilarious take on Waitress' Bad Idea and Talia's rendition of a song from another show, she appeared in when she was in college (although she did not appear in the show as the character who sang the song she sang at 54 Below). That show was also written by Joe Iconis, the composer of Be More Chill, and he made a guest appearance to perform the song with Talia at the concert. I also really enjoyed the trio's take on The Goodbye Song from Smash. I'm glad to know that these three charming performers will be remaining a part of Be More Chill as it moves to Broadway, and I hope to have the opportunity to see them all performing again soon.
