Mom - If you like a show that is topical, you will love Newsical the Musical. You can't get more topical than their up-to-the-minute satire of the news and current events. In this day and age of constant horrific headlines where it has never been truer that no news is good news, this show will help you see the lighter side of it all. The talented cast admirably takes on variety of roles with aplomb. Unlike in most shows where the show is pretty much set in stone by the end of previews, Newsical must constantly change in order to keep up with evolving headlines and new stories. It can't be easy for actors who may find themselves in a practically new show every night. However, they do an excellent job of it. If you are looking for a quick show, Newsical is a good choice for that as well since it clocks in at just over an hour. It is not a good show for young children due to the subject matter which may be inappropriate and/or scary for them. However, older children who are more aware of what is going in the world and more able to process it may enjoy it.
