I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Charles River Sightseeing Tour

What: Charles River Sightseeing Tour

Where: CambridgeSide Mall
             100 CambridgeSide Place
              Cambridge, MA

Who: All ages

Me - The Charles Riversightseeing Tour was fun. The place where the cruise started looked like a fountain. It didn't look like a river. It was outside a mall. I wish we had malls near the water where we live so we could go on cruises there.

It was perfect weather for a cruise on the day we went not too cold and not too hot. Also, it was Monday so it wasn't too crowded. My Dad bought us all water and bought himself a soda. You could also buy food on the boat, but we didn't.

The tour guide was nice and informative. It was interesting to learn about the places along the Charles River because I had never been to Massachusetts before. We passed under. a lot of bridges. We also saw a lot of buildings. There was even one that looked like it was built out of Jenga blocks. It was crazy!

There were lots of geese too. There was even a place where there was a sign that said No Geese but a goose was sitting right there anyway. I guess he can't read.

We learned a lot of interesting facts about the buildings and stuff we passed along the way. I would like to go back and visit some of them someday.

Mom - A nice way to get an overview of the Boston and Cambridge areas is by taking a Charles River Sightseeing Tour. Just sit back and relax and maybe have a drink or a bite to eat from the onboard snack bar as you cruise along. Your friendly guide will fill your head with fascinating facts about the places you see along with the way. They include such sites as the Back Bay, Harvard University, the giant Citgo sign at Fenway Park, and more. You never know what else you'll see perhaps a college rowing team out for practice or a flock of geese out for a swim. The whole cruise takes about an hour, but it feels like it's over in a breeze. It's a lovely way to spend a little time.

And that's our view. Charles River Sightseeing Tours are easily accessible from behind the CambridgeSide Mall  food court. Prices are $23 for adults, $20 for students and seniors, $14 for children under 12, and $4 for children under $3. They are only available from May to October.
