I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Giveaway: Win a copy of Unsung America in the Chasing Rainbows Giveaway Hop!

Welcome to the Chasing Rainbows Giveaway Hop
hosted by Mama the Fox

Those of us who were born in this country often take for granted the rights and freedoms we have in America. For some, the elusive fight for freedom can be like chasing a rainbow. However, even for those who make it to the United States, sometimes it doesn't turn out to be quite like they thought. Numerous people have been denied citizenship or deported with little or no reason, especially those who try to speak out for the rights of themselves and other immigrants.

If you are interested in learning more about this topic, you will definitely want to read Unsung America by Prerna Lal. For more information about this book, see our previous post Tips for Tuesday - Books: Unsung America. Enter to win a copy below:

  1. I am grateful that my parents as immigrants were able to reach the American Dream through hard work & how they used their resources/skills. They taught me the meaning of true sacrifice & looking for ways to live a better life.

    1. Me too although some people need to remember that freedom is not their exclusive right, other people have freedom too. Thanks for visiting Says Me Mom and your comment.
