I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Glass Town

We were given complimentary tickets to Glass Town for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Glass Town

Where: The Tank
             310 W. 36th St.
             New York, NY

Who: Teens and Up

When: Through March 26, 2022

Glass Town was the imaginary world created by the Bronte sisters; Charlotte, Emily,  and Anne, and their brother, Branwell. Now, their world has been recreated as a musical about the siblings themselves. The show is actually really more of a rock opera. As a matter of fact, it is subtitled "A Rock Requiem." The actors are fierce in their interpretations of these characters and their musical talents are evident as they all sing and play instruments too. There are also several other band members as well who are not characters in the show. There isn't really a story that carries through the show. You just get bits and pieces of their lives. You learn more about them as individuals than about their family life. On the whole, it all seems a bit disjointed. The music still rocks, however, so if that's what you are in it for you should enjoy this show.

And that's our view. For more about Glass Town or to purchase tickets to one of the few remaining performances go to thetanknyc.org/glass-town-2022.

Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
