I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: Unsung America & Misc.: Redee Mask

We may have been given complimentary copies of any books and/or other products mentioned below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: Unsung America

Today we are recommending Unsung Americans by Prerna Lal. This book is a scathing look at the history of immigration in this country and how numerous people have been denied a path to citizenship and deported often for negligible reasons. In particular, it focuses on immigrants who were trailblazers and not only fought for their rights but for the rights of other immigrants as well and as a result were generally scapegoated and targeted for deportation themselves. If you want to true picture of the unfairness of United States immigration policies not just over the last four years but even before that, you will definitely want to read this book.

Misc: Redee Mask

Today we are recommending Redee Mask. This special two layer mask has a bottom flap that allows you to drink from a straw while wearing it. The front layer is completely solid allowing you to keep your nose and mouth completely covered. The mask is also fully adjustable both around the ears and on the nose so it stays in place so you don't have to keep adjusting it. With this mask, you can safely drink no matter where because you don't have to remove your mask.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
