I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - The Nice List

What: The Nice List

Where: www.nicelistmusical.com or at www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVd-1ssMUQs

When: Through December 2020

Who:  Ages Ages 3 to 8

If you only have a little bit of time and you are looking for a holiday story to entertain the kids that you haven't seen a thousand times before, you might want to try The Nice List. This is a Christmas story for both the modern age and the Covid age.  The whole thing is in Zoom and the story includes an elf with a Santa's Workshop vlog and a Santa who almost forgets to unmute himself during a Zoom call. At its heart though, there is a cute story for kids with a good moral. Some elves learn that there is good and bad in everyone, and therefore nobody deserves to be on the naughty list. There are also a few songs. For the most part, they aren't all that memorable, but the kids should enjoy them, and the final song is kind of stirring. The show is well-acted and well sung by a group of seasoned Broadway performers including James Monroe Iglehart best known for playing the Genie in Aladdin. Unfortunately, this is not one of those shows that will appeal to grownup as much as it does to kids, but at least its not too long, the cast is talented, and it will keep the kids occupied for a little bit.
