I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Great Reasons to See Flying Over Sunset!

As we wait for Broadway to fully reopen with shows starting to reopen now, this is the sixteenth post in our series, Great Reasons to See... focusing on different shows returning to Broadway or coming to Broadway soon. We now have turned our attention to shows coming to Broadway soon. Although obviously, we have not seen any of these shows, we will share some great reasons to see them based on what we know about them.

Great Reason to See Flying Over Sunset!

1) It's a Lincoln Center Theater production.

2) It's a completely original musical.

3 The show revolves around three fascinating real-life characters, Clare Luce Boothe, Cary Grant, and Aldous Huxley,

4) It stars, Carmen Cusack who was Tony-nominated for her role in Bright Star.

5) It stars Tony Yazbeck who was Tony-nominated for his role in On the Town

6) It stars Harry Hadden-Paton who was Tony-nominated for his role in My Fair Lady.

7) It has music by the Tony-winning composer of Next to Normal.

8) It was written and directed by the multi-Tony Award-winning James Lapine.

And that's our view. Flying Over Sunset begins preview performances on Broadway on November 11, 2021. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit flyingoversunset.com .

  1. It seems so rare these days to see an original musical and not something repurposed from another media.
