I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Great Reasons to See Music Man!

As we wait for Broadway to fully reopen with shows starting to reopen now, this is the nineteenth post in our series, Great Reasons to See... focusing on different shows returning to Broadway or coming to Broadway soon. We have now turned our attention to shows coming to Broadway soon. Although, we obviously have not seen the current production of The Music Man yet, below are some great reasons to see it based on what know about the show itself and the current production.

Great Reasons to See Music Man!

1) It is a beloved show that has been on Broadway at least three other times.

2) The popular score by Meredith Wilson includes such hits as (Ya Got) Trouble, Seventy-Six Trombones, and Gary, Indiana.

3) Another of the shows songs, Til There Was You was even recorded by the Beatles.

4) The show stars movie, Broadway star, and multi-award winner, Hugh Jackman as Harold Hill.

5) The show also stars two time Tony award winner and the star of TV's Younger, Sutton Foster.

6) The original 1958 production was nominated for and won numerous Tony Awards including Best Musical.

7) Even now more than sixty years after it ran on Broadway the original production of the show is still one of the 100 longest running musicals of all time.

And that's our view. Music Man begins preview performances on Broadway on December 20, 2021. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit musicmanonbroadway.com.
