I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Great Reasons to See Tina, The Tina Turner Musical!

As we wait for Broadway to fully reopen with many shows now scheduled to reopen as early as September, this is the seventh post in our series, Great Reasons to See... focusing on different shows returning to Broadway or coming to Broadway soon.

Here are some great reasons to see Tina, The Tina Turner Musical!

1) It's based on the true and inspirational story of the one and only Tina Turner.

2) It's full of Turner's best-known and best-loved songs like Private Dancer, What's Love Got to Do With It, Proud Mary, and many more.

3) Whether you see the incredible Tony-nominated, Adrienne Warren (assuming she is still in the cast when the show reopens) or her alternate you going to get an amazing performance.

4) The show is full of other terrific performances as well highlighted by Daniel J. Watts as Ike Turner and Myra Lucretia Taylor as Gran Georgeanna, both of whom were also nominated for Tony Awards.

6) In addition to the aforementioned Tony nominations, the show was also nominated for eight other Tony awards.

7) It has already won two Drama Desk awards as well as being an honoree for five Outer Critic's Circle Awards including one of each for Adrienne Warren.

8) It will leave you with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

And that's our view. Tina, the Tina Turner Musical returns to Broadway on October 8, 2021. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit https://tinaonbroadway.com
