I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: Death by Chaos & Movies: A Cinderella Story : Star Struck

We may have been given complimentary copies for review purposes of any books and/or other products mentioned below. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: Death by Chaos

Today we are recommending Death by Chaos by Renaii West. Tasha, Elizabeth, Dawn, and Miranda are college roommates known as the Goddesses of Room 407. All have bright futures ahead of them. Then, an incident occurs and one of them is forced to go on the run. The others go on to successful careers in their chosen fields but remain affected by what happened especially one of the three in particular. However, eventually, the truth will come out even if it takes twenty years. This action-filled thrilling book zips along at a relentless pace. Luckily, at less than 200 pages and full of short quick chapters it's easy to read all in one sitting because once you dive in you won't want to let it go until you're done.

Movies: A Cinderella Story: Starstruck

Today we are recommending A Cinderella Story: Starstruck. This latest version of the Cinderella story takes place on  a farm. Though it contains nods to the original Cinderella story like a main character whose best friends are animals like in the Disney cartoon version of the story, this is a very modern Cinderella. It is not so much about a girl finding her prince as a girl finding her dream. Aside from the Cinderella aspects, the story also contains many elements that you have probably seen in other movies. However, it still fairly enjoyable and it's is full of adorable animals that you won't want to miss if you're an animal lover. Besides the whole idea of Cinderella who doesn't really need a prince to rescue her is an important one that should be recognized.

A Cinderella Story:Starstruck is available now Digitially or on DVD from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

In honor of the release of this movie, we were given fun cookies to paint and enjoy. For more see below:

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
