I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Friends! The Musical Parody is back in New York City for a limited time on its way to a North American National Tour. It is still crammed with references to numerous things about the show that you know and love including guest stars, minor characters, catchphrases, episode plot points, and more. Perhaps, it is a little too crammed with such things particularly in the second act when the majority of the show's ten-year run is covered. The show is still fun though and a real kick of nostalgia for anyone who has ever seen it either during its initial run or in its endless reruns.

In this version of the show, the female performers are much better at capturing the essence of their characters as created by the original stars who played them. The male performers are more disappointing especially the actor portraying Chandler since he portrays a number of other roles as well. His duet with Monica based around Chandler's "Could I be.." catchphrase is still a highlight, however, because he does have a beautiful singing voice.

If you did not or do not let your kids watch the TV show, you will not want them to see this show either. However, if you did let them watch it, this show is no better and no worse in terms of suitability and/or appropriateness for kids. For the rest of us, this show is definitely a nostalgia trip if nothing else.

And that's our view. Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
