I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Great Reasons to See Hadestown!

 As we wait for Broadway to fully reopen with many shows now scheduled to reopen as early as September, this is the tenth post in our series, Great Reasons to See... focusing on different shows returning to Broadway or coming to Broadway soon.

Here are some great reasons to see Hadestown

1) It's a bittersweet love story,

2) It combines two mythic stories, the story of Orpheus and Eurydice and the story of Hades and Persephone.  

3) It has music by a promisng new voice in musical theater, singer-songwriter, Anais Mitchell.

4) It has won won and/or been nominated for numerous awards including Tonys, Drama Desk Awards Outer Critic's Circle Awards, and more.

5) It has a Grammy-winning score.

6) It was directed by Rachel Chauvkin, one of only four (4) women to win a Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical.

7) It has an extremely diverse cast.
