I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Seven Deadly Sins

We were given complimentary tickets to Seven Deadly Sins for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Seven Deadly Sins

Where: Starts at: 94 Gansevoort St. New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 18 and Up

When: Through July 18, 2021

Seven Deadly Sins is a unique theatrical experience. It consists of seven short plays each revolving around a theme related to one of the seven deadly sins. The shows are performed in storefront windows, and audience members listen to them through specially provided headsets. Each show was written by a different playwright. Participating playwrights include Ngozi Anyanwu (Gluttony),Thomas Bradshaw(Sloth), MJ Kaufman (Pride), Jeffrey LaHoste (Envy), Ming Peffier (Wrath), Bess Wohl (Lust), and Moises Kaufman (Greed) who also directs. The plays run the gamut from dark comedy to extremely dark drama. In keeping with the seven deadly sins theme, there is not a lighthearted little comedy in the bunch. All are shows which make you think and will stir up your emotions not always in pleasant ways. If you are looking for a light little evening of mindless theater that you barely have to think about to enjoy, this is definitely not it. These plays are also extremely unsuitable for children due to language, dialogue, and subject matter which include themes of sex and violence. However, if you are an adult who enjoys theater that challenges you and/or would like to participate in something incredibly groundbreaking, you may enjoy participating in Seven Deadly Sins.

And that's our view.
