Cockroaches and Cologne is a super short original musical from Streaming Musicals. It's a romantic comedy about a couple who go from just wanting to hook up to major revelations to being madly in love over the course of about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, you don't get to see the meet-cute, however, as the show opens with them already in a hotel room. It's a kind of cute story although a little too instalovey unless you're into that sort of thing. The whole thing includes about three songs. They're fun to listen to although they won't necessarily stay in your head.
The show was an official selection of the 2021 Theatre Online Film Festival. It is available to watch on YouTube or to rent from Streaming Musicals website for free now. If you are craving musical theater, and you don't have a lot of time, it's not a bad choice.
