I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: The Dream Daughter

We have been given a copy of The Dream Daughter for free for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Mom - Today I am recommending The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain. After Carly's husband dies in the Vietnam War, she discovers she is pregnant, but that her baby has an inoperable heart defect and will probably die. Then, she finds out her brother-in-law is actually a time traveler from the future, and he can send her into the future where her baby can be operated on. There is so much that can go wrong, but if there is chance that Carly's baby can be saved, she has to take that chance. This is  a really deeply moving book about what it means to be a parent and do what's best for your child even when it means making the ultimate sacrifice. It will grab you by the heartstrings and won't let go. Even long after you've read it, you still won't be able to get it out of your head.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
