The holiday time can be magical. The world of Mary Poppins is also magical. Now, there is an updated Mary Poppins for grown-ups. Her name is Maria and she becomes the nanny to frazzled overworked mom, Anna More's 3 children in Amanda Orr's delightful book, A Spoonful of Sugar. Although Maria may not quite be magical in the sense that Mary Poppins was in her own way she does cast quite a spell over Anna's life and completely change it.
