I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - New York City Holiday Windows 2016

Here is a guide to this year's department store window decorations in New York City.




Barneys is located on Madison Avenue between 60th and 61st. Barney's window theme this year is the Love, Peace and Joy Project.  A variety of artists designed the windows. They include Nick Cave, a contemporary artist and Trey Parker of South Park.




Bergdorf Goodman is located on Fifth Avenue from 57th to 58th Street. Bergdorf Goodman's window theme this year is Destination Extraordinary. They include a jungle themed window and an underwater themed window.




Bloomingdales is located at Lexington Avenue between 59th and 60th. Bloomingdale's window theme this year is chandeliers. They include an octopus one and one made of colorful shapes.




Saks is located at 5th Avenue between 50th and 51st. Sak's has two window themes this year. The first one is Land of 1,000 Delights which consists mostly of mannequins dressed in colorful clothes and giant lollipops. The second is the Nutcracker.




Lord & Taylor located at 5th Avenue between 38th and 39th. Lord & Taylor's window theme this year is animals. They include a bunch of marching geese and a family of cuddling foxes.




Macy's is located at Herald Square, Broadway between 34th and 35th. Macy's window theme this year is all about what the holidays mean to people. Each window has its own mini theme. They include Magic, Love, Giving, Together, and Celebrate.
