I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

We received complimentary tickets to the Morgan Library & Museum for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: A Lively Mind: Jane Austen at 250

Where: The Morgan Library & Museum
             225 Madison Ave.
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up

When: Through September 14, 2025

A Lively Mind: Jane Austen at 250 marks the occasion of the 250th birthday of the beloved author, while also celebrating the 50th anniversary of noted Austen collector, Alberta Burke's bequeathment of half of her collection to the Morgan. The exhibit looks at her six famous novels, as well as her family background, other writings, and more.  Copies of the novels on display include annotated ones and a large selection in different foreign languages. There are also numerous letters, portraits, although mostly not of Jane herself, since there is only one known portrait of her, and more. Other items on display include a replica of one of her dresses, her ring, even a lock of her hair, and more. If you are a Jane Austen fan, you won't want to miss this extremely engrossing exhibit!

And that's our view. For more about the exhibit, go to www.themorgan.org/exhibitions/lively-mind-jane-austen-250. For more about the Morgan Library & Museum in general or to purchase a ticket to visit, www.themorgan.org

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
