Holy Rollers is a show about a group of nuns who have to form a bowling team to raise money to save their church after their priest loses all the church's money gambling. Although it may sound like a fun show full of family vibes, that is not exactly the case. There are some sweet family vibes between the nuns particularly later in the show, but it is definitely not appropriate for families. It is littered with cursing and vulgarity.
It is not, however, as predictable as it might seem which is refreshing. There are some surprising and interesting plot twists. There are some good songs too. The voices of the cast really shine on a few songs in particular. Lauren Robinson as Guenvere gives an extremely powerful performance on the lead vocals of the song Bad, Bad Habit. Tommy Scardino, James Henri Jones, Yannik Encarnacao, and Clark Mantilla as Chet, Scooter, Mikey, and Lou respectively harmonize nicely on the song Chet, Scooter, Mikey, and Lou.
All in all the show is a mixed bag. The language and vulgarity can be a bit much at times. Yet, there is also a lot to like about the show.
