Enjoy a magical tour of 1895 New York City with Dances Patrelle. Your journey begins with a Christmas Eve party at Gracie Mansion attended by dignitaries from around the world - including our new police commissioner, Theodore Roosevelt. Thrill as you behold a battle with life-sized mice! Then go for a bracing midnight skate on the ponds of Cental Park. Finally, take a sleigh-ride to the Grand Conservatory of the Bronx Botanical Gardens in time for a beautiful sunrise buffet of sweets, hosted by the Sugar-Plum Fairy. New York City Ballet's Miriam Miller and Tyler Angle lead the Dances Patrelle cast in this magical and whirlwind seasonal confection, with rich delights for ballet lovers of every age.

2) Jo-Lynn Butterfly Country Hour of Christmas Special
After leaving audiences in stitches last year, the ladies of the Jo-Lynn Butterfly Country Hour of Sunshine are back for more songs, sass and mayhem this December. The year is 1974, and semi-famous honky-tonk country music sensation, Lannie Jo-Lynn Butterfly, played by Angela Di Carlo, (ADD Cabaret, The Mad World of Miss Hathaway) is fresh out of the sanitarium, and has adopted a new self-help doctrine that is suspiciously “cult-ish”. Along for the ride is her cranky mother, Hazel Jo played by Amber Martin, (Bette Bath House, Cassette Roulette) simpleminded daughter, Bonnie Jo, (Louisa Bradshaw) precocious granddaughter, Rita (Kurt Phelan) and a hearty helping of assorted hilarious hillbillies and ex-husbands bringing plenty of laughs, music, merriment and baggage. A whole lot of crazy never sounded so good!

It’s summer, the cicadas are singing, and the Lafayette family has returned to their late patriarch’s Arkansas home to deal with the remains of his estate. Toni (Paulson), the eldest daughter, hopes they’ll spend the weekend remembering and reconnecting over their beloved father. Bo (Stoll), her brother, wants to recoup some of the funds he spent caring for Dad at the end of his life. But things take a turn when their estranged brother, Franz (Esper), appears late one night, and mysterious objects are discovered among the clutter. Suddenly, long-hidden secrets and buried resentments can’t be contained, and the family is forced to face the ghosts of their past.

Concert Features Rediscoveries of Antonio Bencini’s Lost Christmas Oratorio and Antonio Gianettini’s Magnificat, in Collaboration with the Academy of Sacred Drama Soloists are Soprano Linda Tsatsanis, Mezzo-Soprano Kate Maroney, and Tenor Alex Guerrero, with Members of the American Classical Orchestra Chorus
Founder and Artistic Director Thomas Crawford leads the American Classical Orchestra (ACO) in its second of four Manhattan performances this season with a special holiday program featuring members of the ACO Chorus on Thursday, December 14 at 7 PM at Corpus Christi Church. The concert offers a selection of Italian works including the rediscovery of Antonio Bencini’s mislaid Christmas oratorio Gesù Nato from the shelves of the Vatican archives, as well as the retrieval of Antonio Gianettini’s Magnificat and five psalm settings. The program will begin with a brief presentation by Thomas Crawford describing the works and offering orchestral excerpts.
Featured soloists are Canadian soprano Linda Tsatsanis, hailed as "ravishing" (The New York Times) for her performance at the Boston Early Music Festival; mezzo-soprano and CBC and Naxos recording artist Kate Maroney, a voice and vocal pedagogy teacher at both Mannes School of Music and Yale University who appears this season in David Lang’s The Little Match Girl Passion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of MetLiveArts; and tenor Alex Guerrero, praised by The New York Times for his "apt comic timing" in the role of Ali in André Gretry's Zémire et Azor with the ACO, and a featured singer in many the orchestra's performances.

Music Director Leon Botstein leads the American Symphony Orchestra (ASO) in the second of four full orchestra concerts in New York City this season, on Thursday, December 14 at 7 PM at The Riverside Church. The program offers a holiday alternative to Handel’s Messiah with one of his lesser-known oratorios, Judas Maccabaeus, featuring tenor Jack Swanson, mezzo-soprano Deborah Nansteel, bass William Guanbo Su, and soprano Brandie Sutton along with the Bard Festival Chorale and The Riverside Choir. The Church is located in Manhattan’s Morningside Heights and is modeled after the 13th century Gothic cathedral in Chartres, France.

The composer’s depiction of a peoples’ triumph over tyranny is brought to life through exultant choruses. The symbolic duo of an Israeli man and woman plays an important part in the work and provides a voice of their people, and to the chorus of Israelites. The piece is dedicated to the Duke of Cumberland, who had recently defeated the Jacobite revolt of 1745 in Scotland at the Battle of Culloden. |

On Friday, December 15, celebrated Lebanese-American tenor Amine Hachem returns to the NYC concert stage with a one-night-only holiday musical event, “Christmas With Amine Hachem: A Global Musical Tale” at 7:30PM in Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center (129 W 67th Street, NYC.). Mexican musical multi-hyphenate Jaime Lozano is set to take the stage at Lincoln Center for his highly anticipated show, Navidad en Familia.
The performance will take place on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 7:30 pm at the David Rubenstein Atrium, marking the latest concert in Lozano's 2023 residency at Lincoln Center. Admission to the show is free on a first-come, first-served basis. For those who prefer to secure their spot in advance, Fast Track reservations will open on the Monday before the event at noon.

Philadelphia's scariest new haunted attraction is opening its doors for a special one-night only exclusive holiday haunted house. Lincoln Mill Haunted House at 4100 Main Street in Manayunk presents the region's first Christmastime haunt with A Twisted Christmas, on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Christmas has always been the season of joy, even during the darkest of times. While the town was distracted by the holiday festivities, Viktor Kane knew this was the best time to lure his naughty workers down to the mill’s basement. After the basement was decorated for Christmas, the workers were lured into the chamber to see the display. One by one, they were trapped and then programmed into Viktor’s little helpers. Before they realized what was happening, it was already too late. Viktor’s version of Christmas was more twisted than anyone could imagine. Since 2007, Works & Process has produced sold-out performances of Sergei Prokofiev’s charming children’s classic Peter & the Wolf, directed and narrated by Isaac Mizrahi. After over one hundred performances, Mizrahi was inspired to create an homage to this iconic work, and during the pandemic Works & Process commissioned Third Bird. Highlighting a cast of eight—including a flying bluebird, a swimming duck, and a running ostrich—danced by Dance Heginbotham, accompanied by Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect, and conducted by Michael P. Atkinson, Third Bird celebrates each individual’s unique strengths.
