Books: How to Publish Your Children's Book and Let Me Knock That Off the Counter For You
Today we a recommending How to Publish Your Children's Book by Liza N. Burby. This comprehensive guide covers everything you could possibly want to know about how to get a book for children of any age published. This includes how to narrow down which publishing companies you want to contact, how to prepare a submission package, how to understand basic contracts, and so much more. It even includes information regarding how to assess what is going wrong if you follow all the recommended steps and you still don't get any offers and what to do then. There is also quite an extensive index of other helpful books for writers as well as websites, groups, organizations, and more to provide further guidance.
Due to her own experiences, Burby is extremely qualified to write this book and thoroughly knowledgeable about her subject. Not only is she an accomplished author and journalist, who has published both fiction and nonfiction books for children and adults as well as numerous articles in a variety of magazines, but she is also a former children's book editor. If you are interested in publishing a book for children, this book is an excellent resource.
Today we are recommending Let Me Knock That Off the Counter For You. This is a short but sweet book of cat memes in book form with photographs by Mark Rogers. It truly captures the essence of cattitude. If you are a cat owner, you are sure to relate to at least some of the pictures and captions. Even if you are not you can still enjoy flipping through the pages of this incredibly fun book.
Today we are talking about Forever Young. If you were given the chance to become young again and rewrite your past, would you take it? That is the choicing facing 70 year old, Robyn. The dilemma becomes even more difficult when her husband, Oscar decides not to go back to an earlier age but remain at his current age.
While the story is intriguing, it seems like the plot could be a little better developed. This movie only scraps the surface of this issue. Also, too much of it is wrapped up in whether or not, Robyn is going to get back together with her ex-boyfriend, who is the one who discovered the life-changing medication that can turn back time. It would be better if it focused more on Robyn and her husband. Their story is quite poignant and much more interesting.
Forever Young is available digitally for purchase or rental now.
And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
